There’s a Way To Cure Your Snoring
Before you can consider any cures for snoring you have to look at some of the underlying causes first. This is because different causes require different solutions.
If you are married to a snorer, then you realize how infuriating it gets be when the snoring begins, it just seems to get louder throughout the night. You nudge him, you ask him to change his position and it’s great for a little while and then it starts again!
A visit to our doctor and a bit of medication, and my sleep was so much better! Actually our doctor told us that we were quite fortunate. The remedy for snoring which requires taking medication just has a 25% success rate – but just 3 short months later, the snoring returned. Another solution could to be investing in an Anti Snoring Pillow. These pillows tend to work wonders.
So why is the success rate so low?
It seems that people are more comfortable trying medication both prescribed or over the counter because it’s easier to handle. It’s simple and snorers and/or their partners feel that it’s going to work, and guess what – it might work at first, but the snoring problem usually comes back. This is because, although medication may relieve the symptoms, the cause of the problem still remains.
Daily life choices.
Snoring like many health problems typically has a lifestyle factor attached that is a main contributing factor. That is why it is sensible to sit down with your doctor and/or partner and try to isolate environmental and or possible physical causes.
For example, if you are 5′8″ and you weigh more than 250 pounds there is a good chance that being overweight is a major factor. The same is true if you are a smoker. You see, the chief cause of snoring is the impediment of the palette and/or nasal airways when the muscles rest when you fall asleep. If you are overweight then these channels clog up the airways resulting in the snoring sound. So losing weight if you are overweight is a sensible starting point. This is the only long term solution that will work. An Anti Snoring Pillow will of cause always help to ease the problem.
I also mentioned environmental issues. If you’re breathing bad quality air throughout the day, there’s a good chance that it’s contributing to your snoring.
In fact, air conditioning can be a key cause as it dries out the sinus and the throat passages which accentuates the snoring which can be quite easily fixed.
Allergies.
Many people today are also experiencing allergies and many of these allergies can produce serious issues mainly to the sinus. So consider the probability of allergy triggers that might be in the bedroom such as the material stuffing your pillows. By clearing some of these likely causes of allergies, one of the chief causes in creating a snoring problem may be reduced or abolished.
